All of Wellston's saltwater reels have been converted to Teflon discs!
The Wellston Original "Teflon Disc Drag System" was initially developed for double-hand reels. This drag system demonstrated excellent performance, unlike cork discs, as it does not experience any performance degradation due to water intrusion. As a result, the benefits of this Teflon disc were adopted for all of Wellston's saltwater reels. It is characterized by its ability to be controlled freely across a wide range, from weak drag tension to strong tension. 【Features】 ○ Since no grease or similar substances are used on the disc surface, debris and sand do not adhere to it. ○ Even if submerged and water enters the reel, it drains well. → There is no decrease in drag performance. ○ The adoption of the Teflon disc is accompanied by the addition of a ratchet sound during forward rotation. ○ With the ratchet for forward rotation, there is no winding of the line that has been cast out at your feet during casting.
